Being a teenager is hard enough without the sudden onset of superpowers, but these six kids are striving to make the best of it at Tanya's School for Gifted Children. It's a special institute for heroes in training, specifically younger ones. Sounds pretty straightforward, right? Wrong. As if it weren't enough that the school has a competitive simulation called The Games that feels way too real, there's also the fact that this school has some pretty huge secrets, and a deadly history. What could possibly go wrong?

The Starlight Sentinels: The Amusing Story of a Struggling Superhero Team by JGrayDingler
8 parts Complete
A man, a woman, a boy, a girl, a demon, and an alien, all walk into a bar... THEY FIGHT CRIME! The Starlight Sentinels goes beyond The Watchmen's question of "Who would want to be a superhero?" by asking "Who would want to be a superhero if being a superhero was just another job people needed doing?" The Starlight Sentinels, that's who! They're not your traditional superhero team, and they're not the other guys either, nor are they the grizzled antihero type. Instead, they're just people who happen to work as superheroes in a world where being a superhero isn't so much a call to greatness as it is an eccentric career choice and super villains are just another problem that people try not to think about. Drawing inspiration from films such as Shawn of the Dead and TV series such as the Venture Bros, the Starlight Sentinels was crafted to be an amusing and occasionally action-packed adventure grounded by a diverse cast of humorous but relatable characters. You may laugh at their numerous missteps, but you'll also be cheering for these heroes and heroines hard-earned triumphs as well. Join this comedic costumed cabal in their debut adventure as they fight crime and battle the forces of evil anytime they're not stuck filling out forms for the police, trying to appease their overbearing corporate sponsor, struggling to gain recognition from an apathetic public, or arguing over whose turn it is to do the shopping in this hilarious tongue-in-cheek tale that takes on all things superhero! If you enjoy the first half of The Starlight Sentinels, you can pick up the full book on every major eBook seller, or order a printed copy from Amazon or Createspace.

Villains in Training

26 parts Complete

"There are all types of supports for heroes," Bella said angrily. "There's schools and mentors and even government aid sometimes. We just want one thing, ONE THING, to help us reach our potential." "Potential to be villains?" Quinn asked, exasperated. "Yes! And don't sound so judgmental. Without us, none of you would have any purpose. We supply the demand for your services. You're welcome." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Belladonna has had a rough childhood, a commonality among the students at the Gallimore School of Entropy. After all, villains need a good backstory. She's always known her destiny was to be a villain, but she begins to question it after meeting Hades and Quinn. Quinn is the only student at Prattlynn's School for Justice who was accepted for his brains instead of his superpower. After all, that was the only way a normal human would be accepted. Wanting to understand why a villain becomes a villain before crucifying them, as is the tradition, he befriends Jade, the only student at the school who knows a villain personally. Jade, Belladonna's best friend since childhood, is Belladonna's college roommate. She's always tried to get her friend to see that she could choose her own destiny, but gets nowhere until Hades, another villain in training, comes along. Unfortunately, a villain being friends with a superhero and vise versa is not acceptable. Something has to give if anyone is to live.
