Two generations, two societies. One light, and one dark. Adelaide lives in a dark world. She has jet black hair and bright blue eyes... A dangerous color to have as a dark. Some find her scary, others dangerous or even... light. She wants to live in a world without name tags. Drew was born light. With golden hair and a golden heart he fits right in, but all he wants is to be seen. If something bad from the past connected you with someone, but forbid you from being together, would you let it stop you, or would you fight it? *Don't forget to check out the second book in the series; Light* (not written yet)

In another world and another time, something unthinkable happened--an Angel who guarded the young and innocent fell in love with a king of Vampires. They had to meet in secret, as their love was forbidden by all the laws of their world. All the while, their love grew stronger and stronger... But then, one day, the Angel was found out. She was told that, if she was to stay with her love, she would have to give up her wings. And she happily did--she gave up her wings and left Heaven. It seemed that her joy with her Vampire love would only increase--shortly afterward, she found out she was with child. The two were very happy and were wed soon after. But their joy was short-lived. When the Angel went into labor, she swiftly fell very ill. In a panic, the King offered his blood. But she refused. After their baby, a daughter, was born, the Angel died. What none could have predicted, though, was that the daughter would have an incredible gift. Because Order can only last for so long. Eventually, the powers of Chaos will have their say...
