It is the 41st Millennium and the Imperium of Man only knows war. Chaos threatens to topple it, aliens and Xenos come at it from all sides. There is only war. After she got a talk with Citadel Council she got a tip from TIM himself that very strange readings were seen very close to Terminus System and he wants her to check it out.

[Sequel to 'Aquila'] Following the routing of the Chaos Marine Hepharion and his warband on the planet of Pelamon, Caius and the Ultramarines of the 20th Tactical Squad make a hasty dash for the outpost world of Alamarri VIII in an attempt to save their brothers of the Imperial Fist who have been fortifying the world under mysterious orders from the Adeptus Administratum and the Adeptus Mechanicus. Aided by Nuadan and his dwindling squad of Asuryani, Caius sets out to try and stop Hepharion and his warband before they claim another world while protecting the Titan heart salvaged from Polemeca while waiting for an Adeptus Mechanicus vessel to take it to Mars. Arriving on Alamarri, they meet Captain Finn Varis of the Imperial Fists and the Forward Engineering Battalion who reveal that the situation might be far more complicated than they would ever imagine as a series of ancient Eldar webway gates are discovered beneath the fortress. A story set in the Warhammer 40k universe that I entered into the recent Black Library submissions window. A Planetary Defense Force squad led by a former Imperial Guard trooper are sent on a mission to a seemingly innocuous facility in the vast forests of their home world. Before long, the true nature of the situation at Facility IX becomes clear, and the squad are in a fight for their lives against a terrifying and insidious enemy. I woke up in a galaxy at war in a body that doesn't belong to me, I don't understand how it happened, but I'm in the body of a Necron Overlord in a crumbling tomb, with my dynasty dead and surrounded by enemies on all sides. I don't know where I am, I don't know what my goal is, but I'm sure of one thing, to survive I need to restore the dynasty I'm a part of. Maybe I'll end up creating mine along the way? In the universe of Warhammer 40k in the grim darkness, a lone Eldar warrior is faced with an ultimate test of her survival skills. The Howling Banshee Taerana decides to leave her kin to avoid the same fate after they failed to heed her warning of the large threat and numbers the enemy posseses because of her lack of proper combat experience.
