There was one thing that Meredith, daughter of Merida, could never be brave about: being open to change. In her defense, her grandmother did turn into a bear because her mother was bold enough to accept a deal from a witch, so she'd rather not let history repeat itself by being too reckless.

But when the future king of Auradon declares that a group of children from the Isle of the Lost are to be given a chance to live among them, Meredith is forced to learn to be open to this new life, new people, and new friendships - and perhaps, something even beyond that.
