Jade Kaplan is crushed when she finds out that her mother is having an affair with none only but their neighbor, Bill Moriarty. Jade’s family is shattered. Her mother leaves. Her father works himself to death. Her brother gets higher and higher by the minute and her little sister’s desperate cries echo through the night. While Jade tries and fails to piece her family back together, she finds herself getting closer with her ex- best friend, Hunter Moriarty, one of the three sons’ of her mother’s beau. He gets her, he knows what she’s going through, and he seems to be the only one who doesn’t make Jade want to go into a psychopathic temper tantrum and pound her fists on her chest like the Incredible Hulk. However, Hunter doesn’t really seem to feel the same way about Jade. He hasn’t forgiven her for how Jade dropped him on his ass when they started middle school. Will Hunter be able to forgive Jade? Will Jade begin to fall for the guy who she used to take baths with, who she shared ice cream cones with, who used to sleep in the same bed? Will anything go back to normal or will Jade feel like she was hit with a sledgehammer right in the chest forever?
