After a movie night gone wrong, small town best friends Lacy, the crazy, hyper, fangirling one and Rebecca, the levelheaded, liberal, practical one wake up in the world of The Purge. 

Family man James Sandin never expected to find two teenage girls on the side of the road, abandoned and alone, on his daily drive home from work. James and his family kindly take them in and offer to let them stay until their parents are found. But, when they reveal that they know who he is, and know about the future events of the night, he starts to question their intentions and who they really are. However, when the events Lacy and Rebecca warned the family about start to occur, James and his family are forced to trust them and let them fight alongside them. 

And when a group lead by the unnamed Polite Leader appears, Lacy's fangirl mode kicks into overdrive as she falls in love with him, which puts everyone in danger.
