I didn't know why Julian was so different from my other clients. His voice was the first thing to catch my attention, followed closely by words so hot they lit a fire within me. Everything he said drew me to him like a moth to a flame; but that's the problem with fire. Someone was bound to get burnt.

She's barely keeping it together. He's got his life under control-at least, that's what he tells himself. Together? They're like a fire and a fire extinguisher-completely incompatible. Aisha Patel didn't exactly leave India for a quiet life in a small American town. She came for a fresh start, but being a people pleaser has a way of messing with your vibe, especially when you're trying to juggle a demanding nurse job, a noisy neighbour, and a firefighter with a big ego and an even bigger commitment phobia. Justin Callahan? Yeah, he's the guy who thinks he's got life figured out. Volunteer firefighter, keeps things casual, definitely allergic to anything resembling a relationship. He's also lowkey obsessed with making fun of how Aisha says "chutney"-which is probably the one thing she hasn't been able to let slide. When their paths cross in the worst way possibhello, car park disaster-these two are basically a walking, talking disaster zone. trying to keep it professional and chill. He's trying to act like he doesn't want to set her hair on fire (in the best way, of course). But after a little too much banter, some unexpected moments of vulnerability, and a whole lot of chaos, they might just discover that there's more to each other than meets the eye. Can they get through the baggage and find something real? Or will this be just another spark that fizzles out before it even gets started? Either way, it's gonna be one hell of a ride.

Exhale, repeat. How far will you go? Ask Julian Laurence and he will tell you he is living the dream. Despite his flaws and overwhelming anxiety, Julian has everything he needs at school. Wealthy, privately educated, and surrounded by his friends; what more can a 16 year old ask for? But behind autumn winds and the second hand smoke there is something far more sinister. Julian finds his perfectly orchestrated comfort turned inside-out as a new student arrives, and old stories return. There is only so much the human spirit can take. A slow burning story of love, grief, and mystery that follows observant Julian through his final years at school as his relationships with those around him are tested. As always, in loving memory of the real Josiah-Jean, who has breathed life into the beloved Josiah in this story. Enemies-to-lovers * Bickering/bantering Boss/employee * Romantic comedy with a HEA He says I'm a hemorrhoid and a massive dark cloud without a silver lining. I consider him a bosshole and heartless prick--because that's what he is and more. I've never met my boss. He works only through emails. I was two months in at my new job, when I had to fly to Florida to bury my grandmother. The night of her funeral, an overly hot man approached me while I was in the middle of trying to meet a deadline, wondering if I'd be interested in having a wild night with him. It had been a couple years since I Iast been with a man. I was pissed at my boss, and he was good looking, so I accepted his offer. Next, I emailed my boss telling him I wasn't making the deadline because I was going to get laid. And I did... lots of it. The next morning he was gone. Months later, I run into my boss--in the dark--on masquerade night at a sex club. Let's just say we had an interesting moment. After that I wanted to kill him more than I already wanted to. Weeks later. I had the shock of my life when we met face to face at my best friends wedding. Callum's a one-and-done type of guy. And I wasn't looking for love either. But our friends had other plans for us. They thought we were the perfect match and did all they could to set us up. Will us two stubborn hotheads see we're meant to be? One Hot Night

5 chapitres Terminé Contenu pour adultes

"You're trouble, you know that?" Fire captain Cameron McClain thinks I'm the meddlesome one, but he's the instigator. His rugged good looks and confident sense of humor should be illegal. Not to mention his dimples. They're partially to blame for why I leave this party and follow him back to his room. I knew we had chemistry, but from the second his lips meet mine, my body catches on fire. All it takes is one touch and the attraction between us combusts into an undeniable heat. One hot night. That's all we were meant to be. But now that I know how good we are together, how can I stay away?
