Rise to the top

Ava is just your average 18 year old teenage girl, she was raised by her single mom when her dad left them when she was only 4. She has a wacky best friend, Sarah, who is always pushing Ava to follow her dreams and talent. Ava is in her last year of high school and is struggling with some traumatic personal problems. When Ava's favourite rockstar, Aiden Masters, offers fans the opportunity to write and sing with him in a songwriting contest Ava is conflicted, Sarah however forces Ava to overcome her fears and enters the contest for her. As Ava gets to know Aiden throughout the contest she sees the trouble that comes with the fame, but she also starts to fall for Aiden, especially when it becomes clear that Aiden's actress girlfriend is a manipulative liar and only cares about what Aiden can do for her. Can Ava overcome her fears? Will she move on from her traumatic past? Can Ava believe in herself and follow her heart?
