We think that we would be better off dropping everything than having to wake up to the same pain and struggle every morning when we roll out of bed. But of course, we never tell anyone these thoughts of escape.

Madge was a girl who lived life too short, but for some reason, she is still with us. No one can see, hear, or touch her, which makes trying to escape even harder. But as she struggles to find her way out, she learns things about herself that she's never realized before, and discovers how her little life has impacted her small community of Hamilton, Illinois. She finally begins to see how her actions influenced the lives of everyone around her and how important she truly was to the world. But when she finds an old friend who can somehow see, feel, and hear her, will he be able to help Madge move on? Will he find a way to break her free? Or will he convince her to stay?
