Esmeralda comes from District Eleven. Being far from the Capitol, she and her family have never known anything but trials and tribulations. Her mother and father always talk about a reformed Panem that will allow everyone to live as equals, and Esmeralda has decided to give them a chance at it by volunteering in the 18th annual Hunger Games. Will she be able to win and make her parents proud? Or is she destined to join the others at the hanging tree? ***********Entries for The Hanging Tree Games Writing Competition*************

COMPLETED - District Eight has never been the kindest home to Lucy Pevensie. All her life she has longed for more, for magic, for adventure. Unfortunately, her wishes will not be granted in exactly the way she imagined. Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to the 225th Hunger Games, and may the odds be ever in your favor. Trigger warnings: Blood and gore, major character injury, major character death, brief language, underage drinking, mentions of suicide and suicidal ideation, mentions of self harm, mentions of weight and starvation, mentions of child abuse. Disclaimer: All characters belong to CS Lewis, with the exception of Bridget Jackson and Arabella Garrett who are my own creations. Panem (and Caesar) belong to Suzanne Collins. 🏅#1 - cslewis
