The Red Ribbon and Rick

Rick has a good job, fun hobbies, and enough to get by. Life could always be better, but he's making a good go of it. Except for the crimson silk ribbon wrapped tightly around his wrist. On the other end is an old flame who let him go, yet he could never get over. Two years after the relationship the pull is too hard, and Rick has to act. He can convince a deity to sever the ribbon, try to win the woman back, or sever it himself in the only way he knows how. Rick's not sure what will happen, but he knows the tug is too urgent, and if he doesn't act soon, he could lose himself.
