"Why on earth had I decided to try camping in the woods without a tent?"
  
  With no recollection of who she is or how she got there, 20 year old "E" wakes up alone in a forest with nothing except the clothes she is wearing. Driven by the need to know more, she is plunged into the world of Halcyon, where mysterious fights for control dominate the surroundings.  
  
  Soon, a new but familiar threat rears its ugly head and E has to unite with the mysterious assassins Taka and Koshka in order to defeat it.
  
  But things are only getting started and  soon matters get out of hand. Secrets are revealed and mysteries are solved but our heroes may soon find out there is an even bigger enigma hiding in plain sight.
  
  
  A/N This story is a fanfiction but you shouldn't actually need to know anything about vainglory to read it. All relevant information that you need to know should be available within the story.

Hale was a sixteen year old living on her own in the woods outside of where the Air Nomads used to be. When she was ten she ran from her home of the earth kingdom seeking adventure. Already mastering earth bending, she would teach herself Air bending from the monks in the Air temple when they taught classes. She mastered it at twelve and then picked up lightning bending. Although she couldn't be taught by a teacher, she focused her own spirit and was able to master it at the age of fifteen. She is known as the "White Assassin" because she takes the lives of evil people who take from the innocent, and does it in all white clothing. However, when she's out on the job and meets the last known air bender, how will she react? -- I do not own Avatar: The Last Airbender, I only own Hale and her role in the story. *Warning* Mild Language! I am only using the characters, setting and events from the show. I am mix matching it to make it my own in a way but not plagiarizing it. For example, the air nomads were wiped out hundreds of years before the discovery of the avatar in the show (if I'm wrong I apologize I haven't seen the show in quite a while). I'm placing the plot where Hale learned from them for years and then they were wiped out. Without changing a lot, I moved the avatar's awakening to earlier which is how and why Aang and Hale actually meet. I'm sorry if this is confusing for some people but I felt like I had to explain. Her breath hitched for a moment as her path was blocked by another man that was following her. The only sure way to escape was to go up and on the roof. A smirk painted across her lips from underneath her cloth as she stepped backwards steadily into the darkness of an alley, it was acting like a cloak; completely engulfing her whole body like she wasn't even there. The men, now in a group, huddled around the spot where she was last seen, frantically searching for any clues to where she might've sprung off too. When they arrive, Poseidon tells them that he want the 2 of them to go on a question in California, to retrieve a demigod. They wonder why a satyr can't do it, or why it has to be them, not anyone else. After a bit of convincing, they're on their way to Cali, via plane, credit to Zeus. What they don't know, is that another mysterious young demigod was also assigned to this quest. Hali Peterson. Daughter of Poseidon, born in 1937, dropped in the Lotus Casino at age 14, till her father pulled her out in the middle of the Giant War, in hopes to gain some more power in the underwater battle that raging at his palace. Now it was the next summer, and 15 year old Hali was living the dream in Southern California, occasionally going on different quests for her father.
