Three different life stories, three different issues that are dealt with, and by the end, all three are intricately and impossibly twined together.

Sarah Jones has been sucked into a very chaotic life. her parents are dead, she's now the guardian of her two younger siblings, and her fiance has cheated on her many times. Now, with no way to bring in money and two new mouths to feed, she's moving away from her city life to a town in the middle of nowhere, and will have to etch out a living for herself and her brother and sister.

Aislinn has had a tough life. Her mother was abusive to her and her twin brother. Her father, as well as almost all her friends, were killed by her mother. Her step family is no better: her new brother is sadistic and twisted, her sister is a snob, and her father knows what his new wife has done, yet defends her about it. Aislinn's heart and mind are about to be shattered, yet she's determined to get away from the madness before that point.

Xyla's life has turned upside down. Her parents were killed, her brother is depressed and mopey, and her sister, who judges her and appears to hate her is becoming their guardian. She was and still is teased mercilessly about her name and sense of fashion, which was darker than most. Now, with the "accident" all over the news, Xyla knows the bullying and teasing will increase dramatically.

Will the three heroines be able to fight through the problems they are faced with, and will they manage to keep their friends, loved ones, and sanity? You'll have to read on to find out...
