Do you ever smile at 12 AM, staring at the moon, Watching as stars glisten by, Coloring the darkness Only for the sun to take them away too soon? Wonders so full of amusement at the night sky, Smiling at 12 AM With an imagination And hearts full of thoughts soaring by. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to my thoughts. You're welcome to stay so long as you'd like. Some are hopeful, some are beautiful, some are gloomy, some are mournful. But all are true to me, and all are from the night.
Fighting Feelings
"You can't say stuff like that" I mumble, and he chuckles. "And why cant I?". "Because we're friends" I say, reminding both him and myself. I dont miss how Cameron's smile drops a little from my reminder, but he plays it off and nudges my shoulder. "Indeed we are pretty girl. So I suggest you quit blushing around me. That's not what friends do". _____________________________________ Charlotte Hendrix. Everyone at school views her as sweet, innocent little Charlotte. And although she is sweet, she's not as innocent as everyone thinks. Cameron Cooper. The new boy. The kind, funny boy who hides his shitty life with a big smile on his face. The boy who tries help everyone but forgets himself. But when left alone, with the help of three milkshakes, a friendship forms between the two. Well..its a bit more complicated than a simple friendship. Feelings are quickly formed, but its never that simple. Add some denial, a few milkshakes, alot of toxic friendship, and a bit of fighting feelings, and you end up with this hectic story. At first, he feels like nothing but a pain in her ass but somehow he ends up showing her that there are still things worth living for. He even has an interesting offer of defense classes in exchange for Summer to be his fake girlfriend let's see how that goes... "The moon's really beautiful, if you think about it," I blurted. "Yeah?" he asked, mild amusement and curiosity mingling in his voice. "Yeah," I confirmed. "It's just- there's something about the moon that's ethereal. I don't really know how to describe it, but it's a constant in life. You can't always see it, but you have to trust that it's out there somewhere. And when you can see it, it's all bright and shiny and overcomes the darkness." I paused, searching for the right words. "I don't know. I guess it's a reminder that there are good things out there, even if you can't see them... And it's cool to think that someone hundreds of miles away is staring at the exact same moon as you. It makes me feel not so alone in life." Turning my head, I saw him staring at me intently with a thoughtful look on his face. "Too deep for a Friday night?" I laughed nervously, feeling my face grow hot. And this was precisely why I didn't go to parties. He shook his head and seemed to snap out of his daze. "It was deep in a good way." *** SHE was quiet & left out.
