They were so sure of themselves, causing me to believe them as well. The way these bodiless whispers spoke to me caused me to defy all logic and succumb to their incessancy. The whispers grew louder until they were nothing more than a pounding bass, numbing my mind. A piercing shriek ripped through noise; mine. My body was numb but I still managed to feel the whoosh of air as it tore through my body. I screamed and screamed until the panic shattered giving me a moment of clarity. I am real. And at that the whispers stopped, and all was silent once again.

((Completed)) I stay on the floor. I sit staring at the bedroom door for hours, seething with anger at myself. The more I think the angrier I get. I know anger won't get me anywhere, especially here, except maybe dead. Still, I sit enraged. The whole house is silent. It's probaby the most quiet it's ever been.
