Eva screamed as she stared at the dead bodies of her parents. In the background, she could faintly hear the voice of her dad’s best friend and his wife telling the audience outside her parent’s house all about the Summer’s daughter, who they found in the kitchen, covered in blood and wielding a knife. Eva branded those words in her mind as she was led away by a grim police officer. One day, she would get her revenge.

Evangeline “Eva” Summers was wrongly accused of murder. Sentenced to time in a psychiatric ward, Eva does all the right things and says all the right things and six years after her conviction, Eva is released on parole for good behavior.

But Eva isn’t the good girl she was. Four years around mentally ill people and the haunting memory of her parents have scarred her for life. But Eva has a purpose. To take revenge on the people who took her whole life away.

Returning to her home town, she certainly wasn’t expecting how changed everyone is. Soon she realizes that things aren’t as obvious as they had seemed to be. Who really killed her parents? Who framed her? And is she going to be able to ward off the darkness and despair that she lives in or is it too late?

Eva knows one thing. Whether justified or not, Eva will get her revenge even if it kills her.
