Her small pale posture walked with confidence down the dark alley way of the city. Her beige heels clicking with every step she took down the shattered path, her emerald eyes glistening under the light of the moon. She stopped.
Observing her surroundings she fixed the loose strands of her strawberry blonde hair behind her ear. Hearing the faint beep of her phone, she rummaged through her large purse and flicked it out.
'Rose where are you?' The text read. Rose typed back in annoyance, she was already there, though she stopped short, her senses coming back to her.

Her long delicate fingers hurriedly placed her phone back into her blood red tainted purse. Rose turned around, in search of any sign of danger in the now deadly silent alley.
Her breath cut short, ears perking up at the soft whispers around her.
“No” Her voice hushed quietly, angry tears swarming down her flushed cheeks.
The whispers grew louder and louder, she couldn't understand their frightening commands. She let go.

Death was imminent.

Pulling her strained pale hands to her small ears, she whimpered. Letting go of the thread she desperately fought to hold, she opened the door. The wild side of her taking over.
Rose let out a powerful vigorous scream.
Looking around frantically, tears still drowning her swollen eyes.
Thunder roared in the distance before Rose took off in a sprint towards the home of her best friend.

My dream continued the one I'd been having for the past couple of nights. I ran, gasping for breath, through the familiar woods from a dark figure behind me. The faster I tried to run, the slower I seemed to go, until it was like I was running in place. I knew I needed to run. I was terrified of what the figure would do when he caught me. "Mara Leigh," a deep, smooth voice called. It was almost hypnotic. That was new. The figure had never spoke before now. I ran as fast as I could go, eyes searching the forest floor for a big stick or something that I could use to defend myself. "Mara Leigh!" the voice came again, this time more insistent. The forest slowly started to fade and I started to awake to someone shaking my shoulders. "Beau?" I mumbled, turning my head to the side. What's Beau doing in my room this time of night? Why is he shaking me? "Do not call me that name." My eyes flew open as I jumped at the voice from my dream. A face was right in front of mine, and just like the voice, it wasn't Beau. Before I could form a scream, a hand covered my mouth. I tried to bite it but I couldn't get my mouth to open. He's too strong. I started to use my whole body to try to get away, but he crawled on top of me, holding me down. I pulled the hidden knife out from under my pillow and slashed as hard as I could at him, but he just grabbed my wrist and squeezed it until the pain made me drop the knife. Then he grabbed both my hands in one of his and held them over my head. He held me down while I struggled. I grunted and moved and tried to kick and scream, but I only wore myself out. Exhausted, I stopped thrashing and let the tears flow freely down my cheeks. I didn't know what to do, so I just tried to prepare myself for whatever was coming.

I shuddered. It had never been so dark, nor so quiet before. There was always the light of the moon to guide me. The sound of the wind against the trees. I shook the thought from my mind and continued further into the wood. Then I saw it. A white light spread across the ground in front of me. The clouds had parted from where they were, revealing the moon at its fullest. I stared in awe. It had never been so bright. The ambiance began to come back. The wind began to dance with the trees. I closed my eyes. The scent of oak filled my nose and exhaled through my mouth. The aroma filled me with exhilaration. It filled me with something I couldn't explain. I felt something I hadn't felt in a long time. Although it was something I wasn't used to feeling, I craved it deeply. I felt happy. I felt as if nothing else mattered than this moment. I opened my eyes. Everything seemed clearer. I could see the particles of dust flying in the beam of light that shone around me. I wanted to stay here for longer. I wanted this moment to last forever. Until I saw the wolf. It was hidden among the fold of trees behind me. It stared at me in aggravation. It's brows furrowed in my direction. It's face, livid with anger, revealed a set of unpleasant and sharp teeth. It began to move slightly forward. The wolf bounded towards me. It happened so quickly I had no time to react. It's limbs outstretched. It's teeth bared. My body, paralyzed from fear, refused to move. My lip quivered, urged to call for help, but no help would come. I was too deep into the woods. No one would hear my screams. The thought was soon interrupted by the wolf's teeth digging into my side.

GLIMPSES (P.S. Contains spoilers, read at your own discretion) : As she drew closer to the door, she could clearly hear two men bickering "I swear if you lay a finger-" Deep breath. Elize repeated to herself as she pushed the door open. Two heads whipped towards her direction from the corridor to which the door opened. The conversation between them seemed to have died down with her presence. One of the two tall men stepped towards her. An animalistic growl emanated from his body. Elize narrowed her eyes and was about to say something when she noticed it. Those eyes. Those same blue eyes! ********* "Who's there?!" She asked aloud, unable to find anyone. 'You have the come at last.' The voice replied, a hint of joy in its tone. She gulped her saliva nervously. "Who- who's there?!" Elize stuttered. 'I am what is missing from you.' The voice replied, calmly. "Huh?" 'Since our time has not yet come to become one, why may I ask are you here?' The voice asked. "I uh.." She said absentmindedly. 'Let us seal our bond with a wish, that I may accept you as my master.' The voice spoke with much enthusiasm. ****** "Do you hate me Elize?" He asked, with a pout. Elize maintained her poker face. She was not going to fall for it no matter how cute he tried to act, she thought to herself. "No I don't sir. I don't even know you." She replied nonchalantly. "Ouch. That hurt." He said, clutching the place above his heart. Elize huffed, rolling her eyes. "Do you really have something to say or should I come back later?" She asked, folding her hands above her chest. "Would you come back to me later, on your own accord?" He teased, almost reaching her. "That's not what I-" The Kelpie's laughter cut her off. "You're so cute when you do that. It makes me want to bite you." He said licking his lips, his wet tongue gliding over his moist lips slowly, making a show of the process.

'What are you doing here?' he said angrily forcefully yanking my arm. 'I told you to stay hidden.' I pulled my arm free. 'I know but I wanted to help!' I told him with creased brows wondering why we were wasting time. 'By getting yourself killed? Is that your idea of helping?' his deep eyes shot daggers at me. 'I don't care! This is my fight too?' I argued shooting back the daggers. 'You don't...' he mumbled the rest of the statement running his hand through his hair in obvious frustration. 'This is a war, not one of your childish games, Santana.' Injured by his words, I shot back. 'Then i would rather die than li...' I stopped when the atmosphere immediately changed...drastically. His eyes narrowed into mere slits as his face grew dark and he seemed to loom darkly and threateningly over me. I shivered as I stepped back in both awe and fear. He suddenly scooped down and gripped my shoulders pulling closer to him while lifting me off the ground until i was almost the same height as him. 'I will rip everyone's throat with my bare hands before I let anyone touch you.' he hissed his eyes a deep shade of grey that they were almost black. Edited version of "The Protector." Excerpt: "You are my mate," he said to her coldly. Tracy looked at him intensely. "What does that mean in werewolf?" She asked curiously. "It means that you are my soulmate.'" "You don't sound happy about it." Tracy said cocking her head to the side. Closely studying his features, she briefly considered what it would be like to be a Luna. "Honestly, I could care less. My plan was to announce a mate this evening. You conveniently showed up. I don't intend to change my ways. I can have any woman I want, anytime I want her. You're mine by right, so get over it." "I am not anyone's property. Especially not yours." Tracy said firmly, hiding her tormented feelings. "I refused to be used. "she said angrily. Crowding Tracy's body with his arms, he boxed her in against the bookcase and growled. "I own you." "Really? I don't see 'Property of Douche Bag' written here." Tracy said, her voice heavy with sarcasm. Jonathan's scent was strong, arousing the tickle in her nose. The heat from his muscular frame drew her body closer. Holding firmly, she refused to melt into him. Jonathan dropped his heavy gaze to the rapid pulse beating visible on her pulsing neck. Stroking a single finger over the spot where his mark would be, he caused her to shiver. "That can be rectified." he said seductively. "Try it and I'll muzzle you." She snapped. Jonathan's green eyes darkened. lunging forward, he grabbed Tracy by the throat and pulled her forward. Elongating his teeth, Tracy remained calm. "You shouldn't have done that." she chuckled. Feeling the powers surge through her veins, her grey eyes glowed a burning silver. "You really shouldn't have."

Alpha of the Darks, Vince, imprints on Nya but keeps it a secret. Excerpt Vince was resting in bed running the day's events through his mind when his heightened sense of hearing was alerted to the sound of ruffling sheets. Little feet hit the ground telling him it was a female and the odd placement of footsteps lets him know it wasn't Malina. He rises and when he widens his bedroom door Nya's scent flooded through his nostrils. He clears his throat instinctively and follows the smell into the hall. There he finds her coming straight towards him. He was surprised she was up this soon. She should have been out until the morning at least. Her foot was healed and her clothes were changed from earlier. She was now wearing a fitted cotton t-shirt, soft plaid shorts, and her hair was tied up in a messy bun. "What are you doing?" He folds his arms and angles his brows. She keeps her same pace beelined to him. Never, has he ever had the thought of taking a step back when being approached; until now that is. He hesitated. He firmly refused to let anything make him back down. This was his house, his rules, and she had no power over him. His focus inadvertently fell to her breast that lacked cover from a bra, and then to her smooth thighs, and like he has absolutely no control, to her toned calves. She was a foot away when the moon's glow from the skylight illuminated her face. His heart skipped a beat. It had never done that before. Then his train of thought went right off the tracks. He didn't realize how thick her lashes were, or how perfectly red her lips were stained. Where earlier she was pale, she now had a flushed pink color. The darkness from under her eyes was gone and her cheeks were slightly fuller too. He blinks away his unwanted thoughts when she stops inches from him. With a neutral gaze, an expressionless expression almost, she makes a sudden turn and goes around him. "What the f**k?" She was sleepwalking he registered.
