Taylor is the quarterback and the captain of the boys varsity football team. All the guys think of her as one of them. They treat her as though she were one of them. But they don't know why she plays. They assume that she just loves the sport. And that's true, it's just not the whole truth. No one seems to care why she plays, just that she does. The only one that knows is her best friend, Jake. When her mom leaves, it all falls apart. Her dad is gone too. Her brother is dead. Yet, even though she has all this to worry about, she's keeping the biggest secret yet. One that changes so much.
