Normally, this would be no problem for King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table, but sheer numbers can put fear in the hearts of even the very best swordsman. There were at least two score of Morganas' men, all bearing the mark of the best ring of mercenaries. 
They charged, filling the once peaceful air with a deafening racket that was enough to make the hairs on the back of Merlin's neck stand straight up. Merlin dimly noticed Gwaine, Percival, Arthur and Leon drawing their swords, stoic expressions etched upon all of their faces. They were great knights, the very best, but 4 was no match for 40. The only choice was to use magic." 

A storyline diverging from the canon plot of Merlin where Arthur finds out Merlin has magic. And it's on neither of their terms.

When Merlin, Prince Arthur, and the knights of the round table go on a hunting trip to help relax, they don't expect to be captured by people who are looking for fighters. The knights are forced to fight for others entertainment in the arena, or they will be killed. Merlin has come to expect extra trouble being the Prince's servant, but what he doesn't expect is to meet familiar faces in the arena. Will the knights ever make it back to Camelot?
