Tensions at the country’s best performing arts schools, Liston Academy of the Arts – also known as Limelight to the students – are riding high. But with the beautiful and bitchy ballerina, Ruby Jones, as the Queen Bee, what else can you expect?
But the death glares and secret bitching rise dramatically at the arrival of Ruby’s new roommate – the gorgeous and talented singer-songwriter, Cassie May. Immediately marked as a threat to Ruby’s crown, it becomes a war of popularity between the two girls.
The auditions for Limelight’s biggest showcase are fast approaching and Ruby encounters a serious problem. The students are required to show a talent in a variety of areas and Ruby realises that dancing is her only skill area. Desperate to earn her place in the showcase and pull off one of the best performances yet, Ruby is forced to ask Cassie to pair with her for the show.
But when you’d like to murder each other and dump the body in a river somewhere in North Wales, it’s not surprising how difficult it can be to produce anything worthy of Limelight’s fiercely competitive stage.
Elliot Jensen and Elliot Fintry have a lot in common. They share the same name, the same house, the same school, oh and they hate each other but, as they will quickly learn, there is a fine line between love and hate.
