Forever?" Levi had asked his friend at a young age.
"Forever." Eren had agreed.
Then came the dreaded eighth grade, and memories of the past spilled into Levi's head. Memories of Kenny, his abuser, memories of his mothers death... Levi was stuck in memories, lost in the darkness, reaching out for help to his only friend.
But this time, Eren didn't come. Annie, his love at the time had swept him away.
"Don't go near that freak," Annie had said, and Eren agreed, because he thought he was in love. After all, it couldn't be that bad, could it?
It tore them both apart.
And then the blood spilled, the medicine bottles were tipped, and tears flooded over dark eyes. He was lost in his head. Kay, his sister was gone. Eren, his only friend was gone. What else was there to life?
Eren snapped out of his blur when he gets an awakening phone call. He never thought he could ever run that fast. He saved Levi from that death, but could the two fight the monsters in their heads, Annie, and cope with new love without falling back into darkness?
