The story follows a British girl with Egyptian ancestry who is starting university, in a small remote fictional town on the seaside called Crescent Dale. She meets a dark mysterious guy whom she is drawn to, together with their friends they find the missing Egyptian Sistrum.  Along the way, she discovers her own powers and she finds answers to all her unanswered questions of her past.
The Sistrum is an ancient Egyptian mythical musical instrument.
