Esther is naive and trusting and their marriage seems okay. While she spends a lot of time with Natalie to avoid loneliness, Levi is a workaholic. When Esther finds Levi in her bed with Markus, it destroys her. He convinces her to overlook it as he is under pressure to have a second child. He asks her to get pregnant and then he opens the marriage for her. When Esther meets Jens, she instantly feels the connection. But she is determined to fulfill her obligation to Levi. Jens agrees to wait. Once Esther conceives and has a baby, then she will leave Levi and be with Jens. Levi is happy with the decision.Complete

I ran downstairs into the living room, my heart pounding as I found all my brothers gathered around Nefeli. Her eyes were frantic, scanning the room, desperately searching for me.
