Myra Colton, an eighteen year old, down-to-earth girl from San Francisco who just got accepted into New York’s Brooklyn College convinces her mother to let her go to New York ahead of the scheduled time. She was supposed to go and stay with her Aunt Fay in January, when her classes began, but she wants to go earlier to get used to the idea of living in New York once again. Her problems rise when she notices the strange family next door, whom Aunt Fay recalls as "nice people". No matter what her Aunt says, Myra is positive there's something off about that family...especially with that weird, gloomy son of theirs with who she immediately starts off the wrong foot with. Dan Remington, youngest of three sons and two daughters, known as the "loner" of the family. Though a loner, his love for his family is well-known and he would do anything for his family even at the cost of his life. Amongst the already amount of stress on his lap, more stress is thrown on him when the neighbor's niece starts getting suspicious about his family, and he's not about to let her find out.........

In Farmstead Village, I thought I understood love... until it destroyed everything. When I saved a wounded wolf, I ignored every warning, drawn to his piercing eyes and the secrets they hide. But the night he transformed into a man, my world shattered. His voice was thunder, his fury a storm, and his words branded my soul: 'Welcome to your worst nightmare.' Now, with danger closing in and my heart caught in the crossfire, I must face the truth-did I save a beast, or unleash the king of monsters?
