There are only 5 us here. We're the smallest pack in Lexanoca Falls. The pack used to just consist of Jedidiah. He's the Alpha. He lost his entire pack. But that's a story for another time. My brother, Ian, ended up being bitten by Jedidiah on an accident. Then he kind of went crazy and bit me. So then we were our own little 3 man pack. We were happy the way we were. Then Alex came along. He's Jed's step brother. He got himself in trouble and got hurt very badly. He was weak. Like, close to dying weak. I, being me, decided there was no harm in biting him. I mean his body could've either taken the bite, and he'd get better, or his body could've rejected the bite, and he would've died like he was already on his way to doing. Of course, that got me what was supposed to be 40 miles straight into the forest, but I collapsed at 29. I also got a lecture on never doing the Alpha's work. Who cares? Anyways, after bringing Alex into the pack, that's basically how we got our next member. His name is Elliot. Jedidiah says he's only in the pack because he's Alex's best friend, but I know better. He's a witch. He's amazing though. He's proven time and time again that he is loyal. So here we are the lucky 5. I guess the real reason I'm writing this is because Jedidiah said it was a dumb idea to leave a note like this just laying around the pack house. But I think it's important for whoever is reading this to know. We may be a small pack, but we are strong. We're probably stronger than most packs really. Maybe it's because we have a witch on our side. Or maybe it's because every other day we're running 24 miles. Either way, the fact still remains. We are mighty. So with that in mind, if you're reading this with the intentions of anything other than just knowing, with all due respect, Don't mess with us.

When the Cat's Away, the Mice Will Play. Except in my case, the "cat" is a wolf... and the "mouse" is me. Bianca Ashford, just your average human. But as for playing? Yeah, not happening. I'm not in the mood for fun. My return to California is a total disaster. It's like my karma tanked the second I crossed paths with those damn werewolves-one catastrophe after another, no break in sight. The people I love keep walking out of my life, and my world turns into a twisted grab bag of surprises. Spoiler alert: they all suck. Betrayals, shocking truths, attempted murder-take your pick. But the real kicker? My "forced vacation" in Oregon left me with way more than just trauma. And meanwhile, back in the neighboring state, an entire pack is probably hunting me down. Because while I'm doing everything I can to put this nightmare behind me, they sure as hell aren't forgetting me-or the bond that ties us together. For Hunter, their bossy Alpha, I'm not just some random human. I mean a whole lot more. And he has no intention of letting me vanish. With his blood brothers at his side, he's ready to do whatever it takes to track me down and, more importantly, protect what's his. Their instincts are sharper than ever, but their patience is running out fast. The wolves are closing in, my secrets are piling up, and I'm fresh out of escape routes. When my situation spirals out of control, I'm faced with an impossible choice. Can I make it out of this, or will the endless curveballs finally take me down? And more importantly... how long can I keep running? One thing's for sure: this game is far from over.
