Plot Summary
Meet twelve-year-old Abigail Avery, a seventh grade city girl, gearing up for the fun of the summer ahead. With best friends like the sassy 'n spunky Trisha and the goofy yet lovable videogame-obsessed Theodore, (or T.J. for short) by her side adventure seems to lurk around every corner. A summer full of fun in the sun is sure to ensue for the trio of happy-go-lucky pre-teens.
But Abby's next stop isn't just your typical walk through Central Park. Instead, it's Lake Winnipesaukee! Reluctant to come along for the ride, Abby's spiteful seventeen-year-old sister Mallory and pesky younger sister Stephanie find themselves scrunched in the family car bound to embark on one of the wackiest summer vacations yet. But vacationing up at a lake in New Hampshire isn't as relaxing as it seems. Horror strikes when Daniel Maston, a sleazy, creepy, cold-hearted pre-adolescent, moves in next door to the Avery's rental house. And "Dan the Man" will stop at nothing until Abby's summer is completely ruined!
Will Abby be forced to endure weeks of hell with this Maston moron up her butt? Or will she be able to "grin and bear it" (as the expression goes) and survive the summer? These and many more questions will be answered in the 2007 summer smash hit novel "Letters from Abby."
