When an accident strikes and kills her best friend, Aurora is, obviously, devastated. But fear for her own life spikes when she is taken by a stranger who happened to be at the scene of the crime.

Not knowing which way is up, Aurora finds herself in a sticky situation as she discovers fate has a cruel way of saving the unknown. She discovers things about herself that she never thought possible, and much more about her biological mother and the blood line they are a part of.

Her emotions are the object of a tug of war with what is right and what is meant to be.

Does she side with her kind? Or does she side with the stranger that pulled her into this mess, and much more, that she is in love with?
