As promised here is the new (hopefully improved) story of Alice:
'Lady Alice was the second daughter of 15 children born to the second Lord of Penrhyn in the late 1800s. She grew up in the Welsh countryside, residing in the beautiful Neo-Norman Penrhyn castle, (near Bangor in North Wales). Her life as a lady of fortune seemed to be right on track until she fell in love with a young gardener who changed her life forever.
As she reads the rough Italian inscribed on her window pane in her youth, Alice, looks back on her love, loss and lies of her life, her hopes, her dreams, her realisations, her rejections, her rebellion against her father, her bitter relationship with her stepmother and even more fragile, easy to temper friendship with her sister, Kathleen. Away from the court gentlemen that find her beauty, money and bloodline so attractive did Alice find a man who is willing to take her as she was without the attributes those of the gentry find so appealing?' - original description
Thank you everyone for your support, this new more historically accurate story could not have been possible without Caroline, Richard and all the Alice lovers of North Wales. Let me know what you think! Amy. xxx
Please note the cover photo is of one of Alice's paintings.
