I had always known I would die; I even saw it happen. Every time I woke up screaming in terror from that horrid vision/nightmare I would be paralyzed by fear and unable to fall back asleep. But somehow now, when I'm actually reliving the nightmare, I'm not scared.  I only feel a strange detachment from the outside world. I feel only numbness as my hunter smiling, licks his rotted lips and slowly prowls forward to end my life.
