  Cethore was once simply a land divided by the people within. Of the seven tribes, great power ran through their veins, each power unique to its tribe, but one tribe was blessed with power over all other tribes. They united the tribes to form the nation of Cethore, run by the Council of Sixeen. For many centuries, peace reigned, until the darkness crept into their hearts.
    
    Samari is a homeless orphan hoping to find a good life somewhere, a place where she belongs. Luck is not on her side as she runs into a street fight that is bigger than it seems. When she joins a guild that works for a dead king, she finds a version of herself she never knew existed--and friends she never had. But now she has to step up in order to keep the darkness at bay.
