"Pretty amazing, right?" she murmured, gazing up at the blue sky.
"It's the sky, that's how it always looks."
She didn't look at me, but her presence demanded my attention.
"I've never seen the same one twice." she pointed out.
"I suppose that's true."
"You suppose?" she asked, raising an eyebrow, her soft blue eyes met mine and a strand of her short hair fell in her face, I suddenly felt the obsessive impulse to brush it back.
"It's..uh...I mean..." It felt as though my mouth was betraying me, this strange girl was effecting me in a way I didn't understand. Her slightly crooked smile only grew larger as I stuttered and I could feel my cheeks flushing. Without losing eye contact, she let her hand trail down my arm, leaving an army of goosebumps, before intertwining her warm fingers with My cold ones. A fluttery kind of heat flooded my stomach.
"It's amazing." I finally finished, she laughed in one soft exhale through her nose and then leaned back to look at the sky again.
