Randon has a pretty good life of easy work, good pay, and an amazing sister. All of that will be flushed down the drain when more cases of "Demon's Disease" break out around Manhattan. When he gets infected by this disease, he is sent off by his work, "The Board of the Ill" to what is called The Midnight City, an abandoned part of the world where he will take refuge from humans. There, they are treated terribly and plan a revolution against the humans.
