This is the second book of the original book, Underworld. 

With the love of his life in a coma, everything slowly falling to ruins, Ryan is driven to insanity. The lost are invading the human world to destroy everything. Meanwhile, Morren is after his daughter once again, and he won't stop until she's dead. Ryan, Bella, Amy, Jackson, Mason and Madison do everything in their power to protect Maia and everything they believed in. When Maia sees the light once again, all her friends and Icas discover that Maia had lost something precious. Something so precious it shatters Ryan's heart.

Ryan does everything to protect his love from Morren who still haunts her in the human world, whatever cost it may be. Back in the Underworld, Maia's mother yet has another surprise for her. The surprise will tear down Maia until the last drop of blood, and the surprise will kill everyone in its way. Maia and her friends soon face the thought of what being the end of the world. Everything is in danger, and Maia won't know if she can hold onto Ryan any longer. Will she risk everything, and anyone to save the lives of her most precious people in her life? Or will she surrender and stop it all?
