"Have you ever had to kill people because they had already killed your friends and were coming for you next? Have you ever done things that made you feel afraid of yourself afterward? Have you ever been covered in so much blood that you didn't know if it was yours or walkers' or your friends'? Huh? Then you don't know."
It was you, or it was them.

It's because you'd risk yours to save me if I needed it, and I'd do the same for you. We didn't know each other before this, heck you didn't even like me at first. But now... you'd kill to protect me, and when I'm scared, you're the one I run to. You're my family because you stayed and my parents, my actual blood... they just gave me up." "Ya sound like ya Pop." "I know." TW: death. gore. murder. deep trauma. drug use. alcohol use. sexual assault. mentions of needles. abandonment. "Aren't you afraid?" "Of what? Dying?" "Yes, exactly that." She took a moment to deliberately pick the right words in her mind because she knew he was going to ask why the moment after she answered, "No. Death is unavoidable, it's a part of life that is inescapable since birth. It's written in our very nature. The problem is that people spend too much time worrying about death and not living their lives to their fullest potential. We were born to both live and die and that seems to be forgotten somewhere along the way. I am not afraid of dying even though I could die at any given day at any given time because I'm making the most of my life and I know that something better awaits me when I go." [Edited!]Complete
