I've always notice growing up with the internet people labels Black Women. As an African American woman it bothered me a lot and brought down confidence in myself. But with my family and my friends behind me, I've learned that it's ok to be who I am and I should be proud of my skin despite what others say. I wanted to have others feel the same confidence I feel about myself. So I figured the one way to share it: is poetry. I want not only Black Women of young generation and old to have confidence; but all women of race/ color to love themselves for who they are regardless of what others say!!
