Ok so this is a thought I had in the shower and decided to write down to make a story. What if fandoms ruled the world?

Identity crisis? What's that? ---- An earthling's soul was born into an incompatible, human body. Their muscles misbehaved, their skin and body felt like a rigid shell, and their weak constitution left little options for any activities outside of paperwork, books and anything on a screen at home. Then the divine beings tried to correct the mistake and removed the mismatched soul from its unfitting body, slinging it to a distant world with a new body to control. The human flesh-prison replaced with the unlimited options of a shapeshifter, the soul has now a magic-filled world to explore. Grow fur for a mountain hike, grow gills and fins for a deep dive. It's time to catch up on decades worth of missed travels and activities. But who wants to deal with the flesh-craving predators called shapeshifters? Another global purge could start, if the freshly transferred soul shows its abilities too much. ---- The rankings are a mystery to me - especially after this story made it to No. 1 under the shapeshifter tag (and others). Welcome to fantasy amateur hours! This is my first time writing that kind of novel. Hopefully there's a bit of improvement along the way. Feel free to tell me what works or not! Occasionally drowning in irl-work, so chapters will be published semi-regularly, whenever I find some time to write. (Usually updated at least once per week.) In the far future, where mankind had finally conquered nearly all of the planet's expanses and was now making its way towards other worlds, humanity had suddenly been beset by otherwordly, magical invaders who came through several gateways that opened all throughout the globe. While mankind would eventually win, a soldier known as Novus Sturne would unfortunately perish before the conflict finally came to an end. Luckily however, he was saved by some strange miracles that had suddenly came to be... Have you ever wanted to see a pure technology/ science user clash against the likes of magic users? A Twisted Wonderland x Ar Tonelico Fanfiction. This is a slight retelling of Twisted Wonderland but with some Canon divergence combined with Ar Tonelico lore and songs. Long ago, it was said that Songs had unique powers that transcended beyond what people once believed. Songs had the power to heal the sick and cure diseases, build the beauty of nature, and even the power to create new lands and sanctuaries all throughout the world. People would cherish the gifts Songs made and carried these beliefs for millennia. Unfortunately, these beliefs would eventually disappear. The people began to hunger for the power of Songs, wanting to use them for themselves and their selfish desires. This in turn led to endless conflicts amongst the people; those who wanted to use Songs to help others versus those who wanted to gain God-like powers and rule over all. And soon, this conflict swallowed the world whole in inky black, drowning everyone into a grand reset. Many years have passed since then. Life in the new world had changed, evolved into a newer, twisted lifestyle different from the world of the past. And as for Songs...well, they too have vanished from the world.
