Harry and Louis are best friends that live together; they are in love with each other but won't admit it. When Harry gets engaged unwillingly he begins to be distant with Louis. Louis realizes that he'll never have his best friend back and goes to audition on the X Factor. But Harry ends up refusing to marry his fiancee, and goes back to Louis and auditions with him

Harry and Louis are a part of One Direction, the biggest boyband in the world, along with Liam, Niall, and Zayn. They still don't know that Louis is gay. Even though Harry has ended things with his fiancée, he's still timid to be close to Louis. Louis has started cutting to deal with his feelings.
