Some may call their powers a gift, but really it's a curse. Once, spawned as a glitch was a blessing. But everything changed, and being a glitch meant certain death, one way or another. This is my entry for iVesper's writing contest for The Hunted. Enjoy! :D Pallynne the Aether wolf hybrid is on the run with her friend Jax the gold glitch. They are both one of hundreds of thousands of glitches in Minecraftia running from Aether guards and hunters. For five years, the two have been doing what all glitches have done to stay alive. Until they find two familiar hunters from posters they've seen. Two of the rare hunters that are actually glitches: Malik and Nightshade! Do you think it'll all end in a happily ever after for Jax and Pallynne? Well let's just say there's a tragic death. And let's just say it doesn't end too well for the two. They are described as evil deities but the Minecraftians named them as their Guardians since they never hurt them. Fighting to protect. Never receiving a "thank you". But then one day...they vanished. Minecraftia fell in trouble and the Minecraftians prayed for the Guardians to help but no help ever came. Notch having no idea where the Guardians went watched his beloved world fall in the hands of evil and ruin. But what if these Guardians never existed? They are only spotted on the battlefield. Some Minecraftians don't believe they exist. Centuries later they started to faint into legend. Still knowing the Guardians exist Asada goes into hiding. She lives her own life cut off from the world. Join Mitch, Asada, Farla, Kris, Ashley, Ian, Quentin, Jerome, Kyra, and Ellie as they try to fix the Guardians so they can save Minecraftia. But it proves not to be as easy as they originally thought.

Long ago, two races ruled over the Earth. Humans and monsters. At least, that's the story we all know. There was another race. Technically, they were monsters. Skeleton monsters to be exact. Humans shunned them because they were monsters. Monsters shunned them because humans had skeletons. In retaliation, the skeletons split into two different races. The Surface Skeletons and the Abyss Skeletons. The Surface Skeletons reaches out to both monsters and humans. However, when the war started, they were some of the first monsters attacked and many were killed when they fought with the other monsters. Only a handful were sealed underground but without the Sun to strengthen their bones, the skeletons suffered until they received anonymous help. Very few survived to this point and slowly, they died out. The Royal Scientist at the time and his wife tried to have children. Each time left them severely weakened. Each child dusted until the wife gave up her life to bring a great skeleton into the world. That child is the last of his kind. The Abyss Skeletons shunned all other monsters and humans, considered them all demons. Their society was alike human society long ago. Divided. They believe they are strong and emotions only weaken. The class system was rigid and they possessed a kill or be killed attitude to all other monsters and humans. They thrived underground and ended up building their society in the Underground's own Abyss. It is a shame that only their leader can reclaim their heir from the corruption caused by those demons.
