Chrom and Lissa still loose their older sister Emmeryn, resulting in Chrom and his new wife becoming rulers of Ylisse. The stranger who constantly shows up just in time, bears the mark of the exalt, and Chrom learns of a disturbing destiny in a dark future. The Shepherds and the new Exalt race to protect the future and everything they hold dear. Lucina: has come to the past to protect the future.
