( This is a mix between 8 Mile Eminem and actual Eminem. Inspiration/Idea from my pookie @2000sShady check em out too ^^) You and Marshall hate each other. Absolutely. But it wasn't always like that. When you and B-Rabbit were young you guys were actually almost inseparable. But there was one main difference, his family was broke and they lived in a trailer home. You however, were lucky enough to live in a middle class family in a big enough home. That's why the Free World took interest in you, and you became close friends with them without realizing that same group bullied Marshall even when you guys were young. He started to hate you. But he didn't let you know it, so he started acting more and more toxic until one night while he was high and you both were 16 and 15 he socked you straight in the nose. But that was 9 years ago. Not seeing eachother for years now... Until one of your friends in the Free World invite you to the shelter. Sole Mates is the sequel to my first work Sole Survivor which I would highly recommend reading first as this is a direct sequel. Lilly and Marshall are now married and settling into life in Detroit, but Lilly can't shake the unsettling feeling that someone is following her. Will she ever be able to overcome the demons that haunt her or will their love go up in flames? ************* Paul woke me up in the early morning so we could make our way from the plane to an SUV waiting at the airport to transport us back to our hometown. My plan was not to phone Lilly until we made it to the house, but I couldn't wait. I tried calling her, but it rang a few times before going to voicemail. I figured she was sleeping soundly, so I would wait a few minutes before trying again. I was growing eager when I was a mere few minutes away from home until I noticed Paul on the phone as well. At first, I figured he was probably calling Allison to let her know we would be arriving soon, but his face seemed far too troubled. He hung up suddenly, overcome with an anxious sense of urgency. "Marshall! Your house is on fire!" I couldn't comprehend what Paul was trying to tell me but became smacked with the harsh reality soon enough as a swarm of red flashing lights surrounded my home. It was surreal as we drove only halfway up my drive being cut off by yellow security tape. I tried to phone Lilly once more to no avail. I jumped from the van before it even parked properly to race up the remainder of my driveway. "Lilly! L-i-l-l-y!!"Complete
