Living by that motto, sometimes you cannot help but wonder if it's figurative or literal . . .
The greatest high school in the state has a secret. It fosters fear and not respect. It encourages victory without thought, without morals. Its values are that of a society that lives in the dark, that survives in the shadow of honor. Prejudices are rampant. Peers are turned against each other. Propaganda veils the truth. And yet, no one is willing to speak up. Because no matter how dire it gets, being a hero could mean the unspeakable.
So, let the massacre begin, let the books be stained . . .
