The cult chanted, before the deadly serrated knife plunged through the air. --- Plot Summary: At first, it was small. Animals started to disappear. Birds, plucked out of the air and sent plummeting to the ground by a stray wind. Dogs, falling through weak patches in the dusty ground by accident. No one thought anything of it. Then, the first human disappeared. They said it was a sinkhole, a crack in the earth that ripped through the ground in a split second. Mrs. Baker, my third grade teacher, was the first to go. Edwin Jones from school was next. All over town, the sinkholes popped up, swallowing screaming people whole as they plummeted towards the ground. Something had to have caused this. I was always invested in science, I knew this wasn't just a freak of nature. I knew. The only problem was, other people knew too.

We have been taught we are the only ones that can hurt ourselves. We are the only ones that could end this Earth. We have been taught wrong. There are forces surrounding us, controlling us, watching us and making sure we fail as a race. There are also forces helping us be better, guiding us towards a more enlightened present and future and both forces have been around us forever. But what if these forces are and have been in a war for thousands and thousands of years. On one side, they want to slave us on the other they need us to be prosperous and reach happiness with ourselves and our lives. What if Angels were just like us? They have their strengths we have our own. What if they had the same issues as we do? Up there or wherever they are coming from. We have a mission in this lifetime, they have the same mission through all their existence. We change our mission with every lifetime, they don't. This would make some Angels feel anger for humankind and there are those who see it as the Father's command and wish and comply just as they were told to do. It is written they had a weakness for human females and it is also written they procreated with them. This story is about the first Angel born from a human female and an Angel who has lived among us since the beginning of time but we have come to the end of times and with it, Angels, the ones on our side, the ones against us, the ones who don't care, and us humans, are facing the end of existence right now.

There was chaos everywhere, everything turned into a disaster in a matter of couple minutes. No one knew what that things were, why they came out of the ground, how long have they been there and why they decided to come out now. I was shocked, shaking in fear, wanting this to be only a dream. Before I could do anything else, groans and screams spread through the building. We knew we couldn't stay there any longer, we needed to find shelter or ask someone for help. We didn't have weapons or anything. We just ran for our lives in hopes for the best to happen... "HEY, OVER HERE!" I turned around to see a tall guy with mohawk and a short long haired male next to him. Muichiro Tokito... Why did we have to meet at such a terrible moment... Why did the fate decided to get us together at such a disaster...

Every year another person got powers, and so, the search continued. But there was always one question on mr. Knight mind: Why 12 children the first time, and only one per year after that? And one thing was for sure: whenever someone gained powers, they had to give something up in return. It was never a choice. It was just the way it was. So, now that I've explained a bit about how this all started, let's fast forward to the present. It's now 2033. Mr. Knight has found 19 children, and Mr. Douglas, the leader of the other group, has found 10. That means... the 30th child is out there somewhere. Who will it be?
