I felt naked under his eyes. My hair was short, and my neck was cold. I yearned for my long dark locks to come back to shield me from his eyes. I could feel his anger, confusion, and sheer disappointment as his eyes met mine. Mate, mine. He was mine... But from the looks he gave me, I certainly wasn't his. * * * * * In Ellia's world, women were second-class citizens. They were treated like objects and are mostly seen as mere tools for reproduction. Women were not allowed to work, families with no males must fend somehow. Many like Ellia, choose to disguise as males in order to survive. In his world, Vohn was the king among them all. He had it all, the wealth and the power. The only thing he didn't have was the person to fill his voided heart. A mate. Although the poor did not have such luxuries as searching for mates, the rich did. Vohn has aged, and given up on the thought of having a mate. That is, until a new recruit shows up. To say the least, Vohn didn't expect to meet his mate under these circumstances. Neither did Ellia. [Highest Ranking: #822 (monsters)] [Created: Around April 1, 2018] [Ended: -]

Everyone deserves to find their own happiness, right?. Mates are aligned together as souls and wolf spirits who compliment each other. But free will doesn't always work well with the Goddess' plans. Sometimes our "better halves" really aren't the best thing for us. When that happens, all we can do is move forward and hope for a second chance at happiness. ***************************************************** I was backed up until I bumped right into the muscular and very bare chest behind me. "Tell me little one, is this something you want?" Is this real. No, things like this don't happen to me. I'm more likely to fall into a sink hole than have anything good really happen. I mean, good things have happened I guess, but not this good. "Tell him. Don't be shy now." Shy isn't the right word. I think I might be loosing my mind. This can't be real... can it? "What happens if I say yes?" ***************************************************** **TW-Possible Spoilers** Disclaimer/Warning This is a work of fiction.
