At the age of five, Mel fired her first pistol.

By seven, she was well on her way to becoming a third degree black belt.

And by fifteen, Melinda Avendale was practically a soldier, trained for reasons unknown to her.

When a series of events unfold, Melinda is forced to dig deep into herself to find the disciplined warrior buried deep inside of her. But in order to do that, Mel must first uncover a past she never knew she had. Although, she needs help figuring out the facts, and the only ones she might trust are the ones closest to her... but maybe not even then.
