Nearly 100 years ago the Earth was dying of radiation. The Ark was made to save the last of the human race. When Ella Swift finds herself on a ship to Earth, she is overjoyed to find that Earth is survivable.
Naturally a leader would have to arise from the chaos to create a community and order. When Bellamy finds himself falling for her as the war between the Sky people and the Grounders continues, he is at a crossroads between protecting Ella and fighting this war.
