Lucy woke up in a hospital bed, in a hospital room, with people she doesn't even know clustered around her. They claim...to be her friends. But she doesn't remember them-she doesn't remember anybody.
Natsu, a pink haired boy with a rather spontaneous way of seeing things, claims that she ran out into the street after they'd both gotten into an argument.
But, of course, he won't tell her what that was about, either.

When we meet again
"Natsu, you make me happy. And I don't know how I could've gotten through this week without you. Even with me not being able to speak you didn't plead with me to get me to talk or force me to talk. It made me love you even more for that." I paused for a moment, feeling the lump in my throat form, signaling that I was going to cry again. I took a shaky breath and looked at him with pleading eyes. "I don't know how I'm going to get through how ever long it is until I see you again. Please convince your parents to come with me! Please Natsu!" After Lucy and Natsu had just confessed their love for each other. Lucy finds out that her parents pass away in a fatal car accident. A week later after being taken in by the Dragneel family, on Natsu's thirteenth birthday, Lucy's sister Michelle comes to take Lucy home with her to Paris to live with her and her husband. Lucy stays in Paris, only keeping in touch with one friend during her four years there. On her sixteenth birthday, Lucy finally moves back to Magnolia. With Natsu heavy on her mind, she gets a job and begins attending the same high school as Natsu. What happens when they get assigned to be partners on a school project after not speaking for four long years? And finding out she just happens to have gotten a job at the same place Natsu works? Doubts: Fairy Tail
Thinking that she is not good enough to be in Fairy Tail Lucy plans on leaving, but after a terrifying accident on a mission that sends her into a world full of nightmares and danger she isn't even sure she will make it back to Fairy Tail to decide if she should leave. While Lucy seems to be in a coma of sorts Natsu is worried sick. He can't seem to figure out why he feels so empty when he can't hear Lucy's voice or feel her warmth when he sneaks into her room. He is depressed and lonely but maybe during this emotional and heart breaking time Natsu will realize his feelings for a certain someone? Just like any other cliche you could possibly find out on the internet, Natsu is a highly loved playboy. Any girl would love to be with him, even if he throws everyone else out, after all, they must be 'the one' right? Lucy, on the other hand, is a clumsy, easily frightened young artist who would love more than anything to just enter the universe of the fanfictions she reads nightly. She doesn't want to be caught up in reality, she already has had enough of it.
