After years of always being the odd one out, Imogene Brea Tate, spends her days hiding away in a small house she lived in alone. Her days filled with killing any walkers who get too close, scavenging, and trying to keep her life as normal as possible. Just as she begins to convince herself that this was the way she could see herself living out the rest of her days when suddenly, she stumbles upon a group on a hill. From there whatever little happy world she had put herself in is destroyed as she's swept up in these new people and a man who seems to understand her more than anyone before, Daryl Dixon.

Daryl Dixon is completely on his own. After the Saviors burn down Alexandria, he thinks that he is the only survivor. Living without the group that he has come to love, has left him as nothing more than a shell of the man he used to be. One day after a brutal fight, he stumbles upon a run-down shack in the woods. As he lay dying on the dirty floor, his life is saved by a complete stranger. These two loners find that living life together is so much better than doing it alone. I haven't written a story in the first person since Broken. It's not as easy as it sounds, but I enjoyed the challenge. This story has taken me months to write and I finished it just days after the Season 8 midseason finale. Any similarities to that episode are pure coincidence. I wrote the chapter (You'll know which one) months before Season8 even started. For anyone that is newly following me or reading my books, I write differently than most. Tranquility
All his life Daryl's had this annoying ability to read the minds of everyone around him with no way of making it stop, except to live in isolation.
