Alana didn't want to think about it, but she forced herself to. The doctor had brought the patient back to life. It all made sense now.

"But doesn't Dr. Nevue work in Pensacola now?"

"No, I can't do that!"

The phrase continued to repeat itself like a broken record. Though, to Alana, it wasn't just a phrase. It was her brother encouraging her, telling her she could do it. And she believed him.
