Zoie Alena is your average teenage girl who's biggest worry in life is if anyone will ask her to her Junior prom. But lately she's been getting odd, cryptic dreams at night warning her about something that will endanger her life.

She wakes up one day in a completely foreign and ancient city, with nothing but torn an stained cloth covering her naked body. The citizens of Athens mistaken her for the missing Queen Helen of Sparta and have their two best warriors escort her "home". She insists that the men must not take her there, for she is not Helen and her dreams tell her she must see the prophet of Larissa. She soon learns that Queen Helen is actually her ancestor, and if she is not brought back to her home then Zoei and her entire family will cease to exist.

On her journey she will be faced with unmentionable creatures, fierce villains, injury, life changing choices, and a truly devastating love triangle.
