Alexa and Josh have been best friends for as long as they can remember. And as cliche as it sounds, Alexa has had a crush on Josh ever since 9th grade. In their Senior year, when her feelings are becoming more and more intense, she starts to question herself. Keep your love towards him a secret, save your friendship and watch him grow old with someone else? Or let him know how you really feel and potentially ruining the friendship you grew up having? The choice she makes could potentially push her heart to its breaking point... (A/N This is only PG-13 because of some mild language. AND! There is a BIG surprise at the end that NO ONE will ever expect.)

What happens when your biggest rival starts becoming the one you can't stop thinking about? Alexa Winters is used to staying under the radar. With her close-knit group of friends and a laser focus on academics, she's content letting the popular crowd do their thing-especially Ethan Harper, the golden boy everyone seems to adore. The problem? He's infuriating, overly confident, and the one person Alexa can't seem to avoid. Ethan Harper thrives on being the best-at school, on the soccer field, and in life. But Alexa's sharp wit and unwavering determination make her the one challenge he can't resist. Their rivalry is legendary, and Ethan wouldn't have it any other way. For starters, they're thrown together for a school charity event, sparks fly-not just from their arguments but from the chemistry they're both reluctant to admit. Between heated banter, surprising moments of vulnerability, and a shared desire to be seen for who they really are, Alexa and Ethan begin to realize that love and loathe almost do sound the same.
